Robert L. Brown, PhD
Bob Brown brings over 25 years of experience in science, technology and user experience to the task of leading the engineering team at i-Human Patients, Inc. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Brown was the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Design & Development at Education.com, Vice President of Research & Development at Visible Path, Vice President of Product Development at Model N, and Vice President of Engineering at Blue Martini Software. Bob started his professional career as a research scientist at RIACS at the NASA Ames Research Center, followed by 10 years in architecture and management at SGI, leading efforts in scientific visualization, 3-D graphics, and animation.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Purdue University. He has published numerous articles in conference proceedings and journals, including Scientific American and IEEE Computer. Bob is also a regular exhibitor at the annual northern California Maker Faire.
